reach out central (ROC) is an online game designed to help young people explore how thinking, behaviour, and feelings all interact with each other. launched in september 2007, ROC was developed in consultation with psychologists, young people, and gaming experts, and uses the entertainment platform of gaming to provide an interactive environment where young people can develop life skills critical to managing depression, coping with anxiety, and preventing poor health outcomes.
since launch the site has received over 66,000 visitors and seen 8,500 new members sign up to play.
